Outboard Engine Flusher, Oval

The Outboard Engine Flusher, Oval provides a simple way to rinse an outboard motor’s cooling passages with fresh water after operation in saltwater or dirty water.

The two oval flushing muffs are positioned over the cooling-water intake openings on the lower unit of the outboard. Once connected to a fresh-water hose, water is supplied directly to the intake system for flushing.

Regular freshwater flushing helps remove salt deposits, sand and sediment that can accumulate inside the cooling system, supporting proper water circulation and helping reduce corrosion-related problems.

The flexible oval cups provide good coverage around compatible water intakes, while the metal spring frame maintains pressure against both sides of the engine leg for a secure fit during use.

It is particularly useful for yachts, RIBs, tenders and motorboats with outboard engines, both for routine maintenance after cruising and for servicing the engine while ashore.

Important: Always make sure the flushing cups completely cover the engine’s water intakes before starting the water supply. If the engine must be operated during flushing, follow the outboard manufacturer’s instructions and ensure a continuous supply of cooling water before starting the motor. Never run an outboard dry.
