Description

High-Performance Silicone Lubricant

CRC Industrial Silicone – Silicone IND is a premium synthetic silicone oil developed for reliable lubrication across a wide range of industrial and maintenance applications.

Its high-quality silicone formula creates a thin lubricating film that helps moving components operate more smoothly while reducing friction, squeaking, binding and sticking.

It is especially effective where different materials come into contact, including plastic, rubber and suitable metal/non-metal combinations.

Ideal for Yacht & Boat Maintenance

Modern yachts contain numerous plastic, rubber and mixed-material components that require clean, effective lubrication.

CRC Industrial Silicone is a useful addition to any yacht maintenance kit, providing effective lubrication without forming a hard or resinous film.

Depending on the equipment manufacturer’s requirements, it can be used for applications such as:

  • Plastic sliding mechanisms
  • Rubber seals and components
  • Guides and tracks
  • Hinges and moving mechanisms
  • Plastic-to-plastic contact points
  • Metal-to-non-metal contact points
  • Valves and mechanical components
  • Precision mechanisms
  • Rubber maintenance
  • Assembly of compatible seals and components

Its wide operating temperature range makes it particularly useful for equipment exposed to changing environmental and operating conditions.

Excellent Performance from -40°C to +200°C

One of the main advantages of CRC Industrial Silicone is its wide temperature operating range.

The active silicone lubricant remains functional between approximately:

-40°C and +200°C

This makes it suitable for applications where conventional lubricants may be affected by very low or high temperatures.

The silicone film also maintains good lubrication and temperature/viscosity characteristics across this broad range.

Reduces Friction, Squeaking & Sticking

Moving plastic and rubber components can develop resistance and unwanted noise over time.

CRC Industrial Silicone helps:

  • Reduce friction between moving surfaces
  • Eliminate or reduce squeaking
  • Prevent binding and sticking
  • Improve the movement of sliding components
  • Lubricate plastic and rubber mechanisms
  • Maintain smoother mechanical operation
  • Reduce noise generated by non-metal components

This makes it particularly useful for small maintenance jobs where smooth, quiet movement is important.

Water-Repellent Protective Film

After application, CRC Silicone IND forms a thin, colourless and water-repellent lubricating film.

The product helps displace and seal out water and moisture from suitable treated surfaces while maintaining effective lubrication.

This characteristic is especially useful in the demanding environment of a yacht, where humidity and moisture are a constant consideration.

Suitable for Plastics & Rubber

CRC Industrial Silicone is particularly well suited to lubrication applications involving plastics and rubber.

It can help maintain rubber components and provides effective lubrication between materials where conventional mineral lubricants may not be the preferred solution.

The product is compatible with most rubbers, plastics and coatings; however, compatibility should always be tested first on sensitive or stressed materials.

Release & Anti-Stick Properties

In addition to its lubricating properties, CRC Industrial Silicone can also act as an effective release agent.

Its silicone film provides excellent slip and separation characteristics, making it useful in suitable applications where surfaces need to move or separate easily.

This gives CRC Silicone IND greater versatility than a conventional general-purpose lubricant.

Why Choose CRC Industrial Silicone?

CRC Industrial Silicone combines excellent lubrication, wide temperature resistance and compatibility with many non-metal materials in one convenient aerosol.

For yacht owners, captains, engineers and crew, it offers an easy solution for numerous routine maintenance tasks involving plastic, rubber and mixed-material mechanisms.

CRC Industrial Silicone vs CRC FPS Silicone

CRC Industrial Silicone / Silicone IND is designed as a versatile industrial silicone lubricant for plastic drives, rubber components and high-temperature applications.

For applications specifically requiring NSF H1 registration for incidental food contact, choose the dedicated CRC FPS Silicone version instead.

This distinction is particularly important when selecting a lubricant for yacht galleys, food-preparation equipment or other areas where an NSF H1 product is specified.
