West System 407 Low Density Filler

The WEST SYSTEM 407 Low Density Filler is a lightweight epoxy fairing additive, ideal for yacht maintenance, boat repairs and surface preparation before painting.

Made from blended microballoons, it transforms WEST SYSTEM epoxy into a smooth, easy-to-apply fairing compound that is exceptionally easy to sand and shape.

Perfect for fiberglass repairs, yacht hull fairing, wooden boats and composite surfaces, it helps fill dents, scratches and surface imperfections while keeping additional weight to a minimum.

Mixing & Application

1. Mix WEST SYSTEM 105 Epoxy Resin with the appropriate hardener, following the manufacturer’s instructions.
2. Gradually add 407 Low Density Filler until the desired consistency is achieved.
3. Apply the mixture to the prepared surface and allow it to cure.
4. Sand smooth before applying the appropriate coating or primer.

For general fairing, use a creamy consistency.

For vertical surfaces and deeper imperfections, prepare a thicker, non-sagging mixture.
