International Toplac Plus Yacht Gloss Enamel

International Toplac Plus is a premium marine finish designed for suitably prepared surfaces above the waterline.

Its silicone alkyd formulation offers excellent flow characteristics and a high-gloss finish, while incorporated UV filters help increase durability when the coating is exposed to sunlight.

Toplac Plus is designed for straightforward application using a brush or foam roller. According to International, application by roller does not require tipping with a brush, helping simplify the finishing process.

It can be applied over correctly prepared and undercoated surfaces or compatible existing paint systems. International specifies preparation procedures for substrates including GRP, wood, steel and aluminium, with a suitable primer used where required.

For a complete finish, International recommends applying 2–3 coats of Toplac Plus.

• Snow White – YLK000 – 2.5L
• Mediterranean White – YLK184 – 0.75L

Both Snow White and Mediterranean White are official colours within the International Toplac Plus range.

Application

Previously painted surfaces in good condition should be washed, rinsed with fresh water, allowed to dry and sanded with 280–320 grit abrasive paper.

For the final preparation before Toplac Plus, the undercoat should be sanded smooth using 320–400 grit wet or dry abrasive paper and all dust removed.

Apply 2–3 coats using:

• Brush
• Foam Roller

International specifies Thinner No.100 for brush and roller application. The official technical data recommends adding approximately 10% Thinner No.100 to ease application, with the quantity adjusted according to climatic conditions. At temperatures above 25°C, an additional 5% may be required.

For equipment cleaning, International specifies Thinner No.1 or Thinner No.100.

Drying & Overcoating Times

Important: Toplac Plus is not suitable for permanently immersed surfaces and should not be applied below 5°C. International also recommends avoiding application late in the evening because condensation during curing may reduce the final gloss.
