Kong Frog Directional Connector with Sling, Black/Orange

The Kong Frog is a patented directional connector designed to make attachment to anchor points exceptionally quick and intuitive. Unlike a traditional carabiner, its two gates can be opened simultaneously and locked in the open position before connection.

When the internal part of the connector comes into contact with a suitable anchor point, the gates close automatically, creating a fast and secure connection. This design is especially useful when connecting to anchor points that can be difficult to reach with conventional connectors.

This version includes an integrated 120 mm sling, providing a ready connection point for compatible equipment. The sling is made from polyamide, while the Frog body and gates are manufactured from aluminium alloy with stainless-steel pins.

With a rated strength of 23 kN, low weight and compact dimensions, the Kong Frog is suitable for professional applications including climbing, mountaineering, rope access and work-at-height systems. Each unit is manufactured in Italy and individually tested by Kong.

Important: The Frog is a directional safety connector and must be loaded only in the intended direction. Kong specifies that the working load must not exceed one quarter of the rated load (WLL 1:4). Never load the connector on its minor axis, open the gates while loaded, or connect the Frog body directly to ropes, lanyards, webbing loops or other textile materials. Always follow Kong’s official instructions for use.
